Cause of death of South Korean singer Park Bo-ram revealed

The cause of death of South Korean singer Park Bo-ram has been revealed. On Thursday (May 23), Namyangju Nambu Police Station announced that the 30-year-old man died due to alcohol poisoning. It was previously reported that on the day of his death, April 11, Park had been drinking with two of his friends at one of her houses when she went to the bathroom.

When she did not come out, her friends checked on her and found her unconscious around 9:55 p.m. Park was taken to hospital but died around 11:17 p.m.

According to the final autopsy report from the National Forensic Service (NFS), Park Bo-ram died from acute alcohol poisoning, which usually occurs when a large amount of alcohol is consumed in a short period of time.

Park also suffered from cirrhosis of the liver and fatty liver disease; The first was the same condition that killed her father in 2010.

The singer gained recognition after appearing on Mnet’s audition show Superstar K2 in 2010 and made her official debut with the song Beautiful in 2014.

Some of her songs include Sorry, Celebretty and Dynamic Love. Notably, she was also on the soundtrack of the 2015 K-drama Reply 1988 with the song Hyehwadong.

Park’s funeral was attended by many former Superstar K2 contestants, as well as figures from the South Korean entertainment industry, including Kara member Youngji and actress Go Eun-ah.
