Burnley manager Vincent Kompany is reportedly set to become Bayern Munich’s next manager.

Bayern have been searching for a replacement for Thomas Tuchel since it was decided he would leave at the end of the season.

The likes of Xabi Alonso and Roberto De Zerbi had been linked with, but it now appears Kompany is determined to take charge of the Bavarian club.

The Belgian was considered one of the most exciting young managers in the game after guiding Burnley to promotion last season.

However, many would have expected the Clarets’ relegation from the Premier League to see their stock decline.

However, it seems that the dismal figure of 23 points in 38 games has not affected the Belgian’s reputation in the slightest.

EXCLUSIVE: Bayern Munich approach Vincent Kompany

Vincent Kompany considers the Manchester City star as Bayern Munich’s first signing

SunSport reports that Bayern are eyeing a surprise move for Manchester City’s Jack Grealish.

City signed Grealish from Aston Villa for a club-record fee of £100m, but he failed to live up to expectations.

Although he is not asked to be the main man at the Etihad Stadium, the 28-year-old does not do enough to influence matches.

As a result, he now finds himself below the likes of Phil Foden, Jeremy Doku and Bernardo Silva in the pecking order.

He has also almost certainly lost his place in England’s starting lineup, and could even be omitted from the 26-man squad for this summer’s Euros.

So Grealish could be attracted by the opportunity to team up with Harry Kane at one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Not to mention, Kompany’s legendary status at City could help in negotiations.
