Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah looks completely different after drastic new haircut

If there’s one thing Mohamed Salah is known for besides scoring goals, it’s his iconic hair.

The shortness of Salah’s curly afro comes and goes, but it always stays in place. He has become part of the Egyptian.

Salah has been immortalized since his arrival at Anfield in 2017, and his distinctive haircut is immediately recognizable.

However, things are changing at Liverpool. Following the departure of Jurgen Klopp on Sunday, fans will have to get used to seeing Arne Slot on the bench next season.

And following a photograph posted by Salah on Friday, it appears Klopp is not the only icon leaving this summer. Salah’s hair is gone.

Mohamed Salah publishes a drastic hair change

We were not prepared for this. But it seems that Salah has actually become Arne Slot.

During summer vacation, Mo often presents fans with mysterious posts about what he is doing in his free time. The 31-year-old generates intrigue in the most mundane publications.

The one Salah posted today on his Instagram page is equally dry. It’s just Salah standing in front of the mirror, presumably at home.

And although Mo is some distance away from the reflection, it’s pretty clear that Liverpool’s number 11 has shaved his hair.

There is a slight shadow over Mo’s head making it slightly inconclusive. But we think the evidence is pretty conclusive. The afro is gone.

Our thoughts are with everyone at this difficult time!

Mohamed Salah fills with Arne Slot

Of course, nowadays you can’t be sure what exactly is real and what isn’t. There is a possibility that Mo is simply playing here.

The Liverpool legend notoriously loves his locks and it seems strange that he cuts them off.

Perhaps it is a nod to the new manager, a simple photoshop as a means of embracing the man who will succeed Klopp.

We’ll have to wait and see more of Mo to give a verdict on his appearance.

For now, though, we’d say that while we’d miss his iconic looks, he actually looks decent on Salah. But he forgot to do up the buttons!
