Three teenagers hit by car in Glen Waverley, Melbourne

Three teenagers were seriously injured when they were hit by a car in Melbourne’s south-east.

Police say a black Mitsubishi Triton van hit the teenagers on O’Sullivan Rd in Glen Waverley, near Glen Waverley Secondary College, about 3pm on Friday.

A child suffered injuries to his upper and lower body and was taken to Alfred Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A girl was taken to the Royal Children’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition with injuries to her upper and lower body.

The third teenager, another boy, suffered minor injuries to the upper body and was taken to Box Hill Hospital in a stable condition.

The 44-year-old driver of the ute stopped at the scene.

He is helping the police with their investigations.

A passenger who was inside the vehicle at the time of the crash “remains outstanding,” police said.
