Mahmoud congratulates Wike’s wife on her promotion to first instance judge

The Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, has congratulated Justice Eberechi Nyesom-Wike, wife of the Minister for the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, on her promotion to the position of Judge of the Court of Appeal.

Eberechi was among the 22 newly appointed judges of the Court of Appeal, sworn in by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, on Wednesday in Abuja.

Mahmoud said in a congratulatory letter to the minister’s wife that her contributions to legal practice have been invaluable.

She added that her new role as a Court of Appeal Judge was a well-deserved recognition of her outstanding achievements.

The Minister expressed confidence that Eberechi’s wisdom and good judgment will continue to have a positive impact on the judicial system and will uphold the rights and freedoms of all persons who appear before her.

“His appointment as a judge of the Court of Appeals is a testament to his exceptional legal experience, his unwavering dedication to justice and his exemplary service to the legal profession.

“I have been informed that throughout your career you have consistently demonstrated integrity, impartiality and a deep commitment to upholding the principles of law.

“His contributions to the practice of law have been invaluable and his new role as a Judge of the Court of Appeals is a well-deserved recognition of his outstanding achievements.

“Indeed, his appointment is a matter of great pride not only to his colleagues and peers but also to all members of the family, especially my boss, the Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike,” Mahmoud said.

Mahmoud, who described the appointment as a well-deserved achievement in his career, wished Eberechi every success and satisfaction in his new and important job as a judge of the Court of Appeal.
